We feel that the most important asset
of our business is our employees and their ability to satisfy our
customers’ automotive repair needs. At Bernie's Automotive we have a
long tradition of customer focused outcomes and service. We have a
modern facility designed to take care of today’s customers and their
automobiles.
We keep our tradition of customer focused outcomes and service by
hiring only the best ASE Certified Technicians and highly trained
Service Advisors. We procure the best parts available and continuously
train to make sure the job is done right the first time. This policy
has allowed Bernie's to grow to the successful business that it is
today. In addition to providing service to the motoring public, we also
service Fleet and Commercial accounts. |

maintenance services needed for today’s modern automotive repair
customers.
Bernie's Automotive is a member of and adheres to the strict guidelines
and code of ethics of the Automotive Service Association (ASA). We are
also a NAPA Auto Care Center, and we are dedicated to our customers and
their automobiles.

Bernie's Automotive Service History
Family Owned & Operated in
Ballard Since
1963
We have been family owned and operated on the corner of 8th and Leary
in Ballard since 1963. Bernie's Automotive opened their doors the same
day Bernie Johnson was married. Undoubtedly a day Bernie will not
forget! In the earlier days, the shop also served as a gas station, and
Bernie’s young son Troy began helping out with the family business by
pumping gas and sweeping the shop floors. Over time, Troy learned his
father’s trade and in 1995 took over management. By this time Bernie’s
had eliminated fuel sales and directed its focus entirely on automotive
repair.
Today Bernie's Automotive stands as a solid landmark in the Ballard
community. Though the original full-serve bell still hangs from the
wall in the center of the shop, its surroundings have evolved to meet
the needs of time. By hiring skilled professionals and investing in
state of the art equipment, tools, and training we have enabled
ourselves to offer the very best in automotive care. Our team is
dedicated not only to quality workmanship but also to serving the
individual needs of our customers through friendly, good old-fashioned
customer service. At the same time, we are proud to remain rooted to
our history. We owe our success to the people and businesses that have
supported us throughout the years.
